Citizens of the embattled port city of Kherson in eastern Ukraine continue to persevere despite continued attacks.
The city, which was occupied by Russian forces early in the war, was liberated by Ukrainian forces last November. Citizens continue to endure daily strikes to critical infrastructure and facilities. The city is still recovering from the effects of the collapse of the destruction of the Kakhovka dam on June 6, which flooded hundreds of square kilometres on both sides of the Dnipro river.
We’re working together with Halyna Luhovaya, Kherson City Council Woman and Resilience Ambassador, to envision a resilient city for Kherson now and into the future!
